The Talent Pools serve to ensure a pipeline of external qualified candidates for Professional and higher category posts in both programmatic and support areas, for profiles that are regularly recruited for and/or difficult to fill.

Requirements

Education

Essential

A university degree in law, economics, international relations, development studies, science, engineering or related field.

Desirable

Project management certification

Experience

Essential
A minimum of six years of relevant professional experience (four years with an advanced degree), including in technical assistance/cooperation, capacity building or development, preferably related to intellectual property.

Desirable

Experience working at a regional or international level.

Experience in planning and organizing seminars, workshops, expert missions, study visits and training courses.

Language

Essential

Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.

Desirable

Knowledge of one of the other working languages of WIPO: French, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Russian, German, Japanese, Korean or Portuguese.

Job Related Competencies

Good knowledge of the international intellectual property system.

Strong project management skills and sound knowledge of project management methodologies.

Knowledge of the economic, legal and intellectual property systems of countries within a given geographic region.

Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Annual salary:

Total annual salary consists of a net annual salary (net of taxes and before medical insurance and pension fund deductions) in US dollars and a post adjustment. Please note that this estimate is for information only. The post adjustment multiplier (cost of living allowance) is variable and subject to change (increase or decrease) without notice. The figures quoted below are based on the June 2022 rate of 71.4%.
